Connect your online event to Zoom

Link your event to Zoom with Eventbrite’s Zoom app. When you connect your event to Zoom, Eventbrite places your Zoom meeting or webinar on your online event page. Go to “Online event page” and click “Connect Zoom” to get started.

<h2 id="01">Check this first.</h2> <p>☑️ You are the admin on a Zoom account.</p> <p>☑️ You&#39;ve created an online event that is not recurring.</p> <p>☑️ If you already have a Zoom event, it doesn&#39;t have required questions or the &quot;Only authenticated users can join&quot; requirement.</p> <h2 id="02">Connect your online event to Zoom.</h2> <h3 id="02-1">1. Edit your online event page.</h3> <p>Go to <b>Manage my events</b> in your account. Select your event to get to your Event Dashboard. Then, select <b>Online event page</b>.</p> <p>If you don&#39;t see <b>Online event page</b>, go to <b>Basic info</b> and make sure your location is <b>Online</b>.</p> <h3 id="02-2">2. Click &quot;Connect Zoom&quot;.</h3> <p>If this is your first time connecting to Zoom, you&#39;ll need to log into your Zoom account. Then set a name for your account.</p> <p>When you&#39;ve successfully connected your account, click <b>Next</b>.</p> <h3 id="02-3">3. Select a user and click &quot;Next&quot;.</h3> <p>Use the search bar or scroll to find your desired user account.</p> <h3 id="02-4">4. Choose your Zoom options.</h3> <p>Choose if you want a meeting or webinar. <a href="" target="_blank">Webinars</a> are not available for all Zoom accounts.</p> <p>Next, decide if you want to create a new Zoom event or connect to an existing one. When connecting to an existing Zoom event, use the search bar to find your desired Zoom event.</p> <h3 id="02-5">5. Click &quot;Complete&quot;.</h3> <h2 id="03">Edit your Zoom settings.</h2> <p>After connecting to your Zoom event, click the gear icon to customize your Zoom settings.</p> <h3 id="03-1">— Update your Zoom title, description, and date.</h3> <p>Any changes you make will update on Zoom as well.</p> <h3 id="03-2">— Restrict access by ticket type or add-on.</h3> <p>By default, anyone who registers for a ticket type or add-on will get access to your Zoom meeting or webinar. Update <b>Ticket access</b> to limit this to only certain ticket types or add-ons.</p> <h3 id="03-3">— Change the visibility of your Zoom event.</h3> <p>If you hide your Zoom event, you can notify attendees when it is visible. This sends a one-time email to eligible attendees whenever the Zoom event is visible.</p> <h3 id="03-4">— Delete your Zoom event.</h3> <p>Deleting your Zoom meeting or webinar will delete it from your event. It won&#39;t delete the meeting or webinar from your Zoom account.</p> <p>To remove the Eventbrite app from your Zoom account, go to <a href="" target="_blank">Installed apps</a> in your Zoom account. Find the Eventbrite app and click <b>Uninstall</b>.</p> <h2 id="04">Run your event.</h2> <h3 id="04-1">1. Start the event.</h3> <p>From your online event page, click <b>Start Meeting</b> when you&#39;re ready to begin. This opens Zoom and begins your meeting or webinar.</p> <p>You can also start the Zoom meeting or webinar from your Zoom account.</p> <h3 id="04-2">2. Attendees join the event from the online event page.</h3> <p>When attendees register, they get a link to your online event page in their confirmation email. When the Zoom meeting/webinar is about to start, they&#39;ll have two options:</p> <ul><li>Join in browser — The Zoom meeting or webinar appears in the browser window.</li><li>Join in Zoom — The Zoom app opens and they join from there.</li></ul> <p>Attendees must join from the online event page. They can&#39;t join manually or by calling in. <a href="" target="_blank">Learn more about ways attendees join your online event.</a></p> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: Join in browser is only available for meetings without Zoom registrations or webinars.</p> <h3 id="04-3">3. See who attended.</h3> <p>Attendees are automatically checked in on Eventbrite if Zoom registrations are enabled. To see who checked in, <a href="" target="_blank">view your event reports</a>.</p> <p>If an attendee’s Zoom account does not have the same email address as their Eventbrite account, they won’t be checked in. Instead, <a href="" target="_blank">manually check in these attendees</a>.</p> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: Zoom registrations are only available to licensed hosts.
