The Sisterhood Collective
The Sisterhood Collective is a grassroots network for women and women-identifying photographers in Nottingham, offering a supportive space to share work, build creative confidence, network with peers, and develop new or existing skills.
Part of Sequence – Nottingham Centre for Photography and Social Engagement, the Collective addresses barriers within the photography world by delivering monthly gatherings, hands-on workshops, peer critique, and community-led publishing and exhibition projects.
Led by local photographers Alecia Barnes and Susana de Dios, the Sisterhood Collective has, since its relaunch in March 2025, delivered sold-out socials and workshops, supported a growing community of photographers, and fostered an environment consistently described as welcoming, inspiring, and empowering.
