The Brahma Kumaris, Australia
The Brahma Kumaris is the world’s largest spiritual organisation for men and women to be led by women. Open to all, it is independent of any political or religious affiliation with a network of over 4,500 centres in over 110 countries. It is a worldwide community of diverse individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life, from all religions, cultures and creeds, dedicated to a life of spiritual study, upliftment and personal transformation. The Brahma Kumaris is run by volunteers and offers courses in Raya Yoga Meditation and personal empowerment seminars free of charge as a service to the community.
The Brahma Kumaris is an international non-governmental organisation of the United Nations, accredited with General Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Leadership is shared by three spiritual elders: Dadi Ratanmohini who is based at the International Headquarters of The Brahma Kumaris in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India; Mohini Didi who is based in New York, USA; and Sister Jayanti who spends a portion of her year at the International Headquarters but is otherwise based in London at the International Co-ordinating Office, Global Co-operation House, UK.
The Brahma Kumaris has had a presence in Australia for 50 years. It has four Retreat Centres (two in NSW and two in Victoria); and Centres in all States and Territories.
