SoScience

SoScience is a French Based social entreprise specialized in Responsible Research & Innovation, founded by Melanie Marcel, international recognized expert on the societal impact of research.

SoScience has been pioneering to transform research & innovation practices to integrate impact criteria ex-ante and has developed

- a digital Grant Writing assistant tool to maximize the quality of impact section including a SDG-based KPIs database, funded by the EU under REINFORCING project

- a training to understand and practice the Impact Pathway

- a UN-recognized framework to launch impact-driven ecosystems of R&I to optimize the launch of efficient and impact driven diverse consortia

- an international network of actors from different sectors from the quadruple helix, to foster sustainable innovation

SoScience co-led a working group in 2024 with the High Level Forum to align RPOs and RTOs around the world on a common definition of the societal impact of R&I and establish the foundations of a toolkit for R&I professionals to anticipate, reflect, assess and follow the impact of their project.
