The Thompson Valley Orchestra was founded in 1997 by Music Director Norris Berg and a small group of 12 string players. Now, more than two decades later, the TVO has grown to more than 50 musicians with all instrument sections well represented. Our musicians range from high school students to seniors, some of whom have played for decades. Together, the orchestra members practice and rehearse with a common goal of creating high quality musical programming to share with the community.

The orchestra’s repertoire includes a variety of musical styles from classics to musical theatre and pops. The TVO presents two to three concerts a year in Kamloops and also performs outreach concerts at local seniors’ care homes. We enjoy working with guest musicians, particularly local schools, choirs, and small ensembles. Concerts and weekly rehearsals are held at Kamloops Full Gospel Tabernacle.
