RATIONALIST INTERNATIONAL

Rationalist International aims to represent the rationalist view where public opinion is formed and making the voice of reason is heard and considered, where decisions are taken that will shape our future. We began in 1995 in India and moved our headquarters to Helsinki, Finland in 2013. One of the major goals of Rationalist International is to establish a forum for rationalist ideas and positions of worldwide concern.

Rationalist International organizes conferences, lectures, youth camps, and workshops, and publishes books, e-books, and other multi-media programs. It aims at connecting together rationalists, humanists, freethinkers, skeptics, atheists, and secularists. 

Rationalist Affirmation: Rationalism is a worldview based on a scientific attitude and a humane value system. It aims at society, polity, education, and value system free from the influence of religions, dogma, or arbitrary assumptions of authority.

Rationalists value human heritage and civilization and consider art, literature, and culture as carriers of it.

Rationalists strive to establish a society free from prejudices and discrimination based on religion, race, nationality, language, ethnicity, caste, gender, age, sexual orientation, or disability.

Rationalists aim for a free democratic, tolerant society, respecting critical inquiry, the spirit of reform, dialogue, rights of individuals, responsibility to fellow beings, free speech, and human rights.

Rationalists care for the future of the planet earth, our environment, and the good use of science and technology.
