As one of NAWBO's "Top 10 Chapters," NAWBO Richmond takes pride in its commitment to leadership, education, and encouragement of women-owned businesses in and around the Richmond region. NAWBO Richmond's strength comes from the diversity of its membership—women from all backgrounds, regardless of race, religion, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability.  

NAWBO features chapters in almost every metropolitan area in the United States, including the Richmond Chapter. NAWBO Richmond was founded in 1982 by a group of like-minded women who understood the need for an association that would support the growth of women-owned business in the metropolitan area.

Through events such as the Women of Excellence Awards and monthly events, NAWBO Richmond Virginia are designed to:
