Mike Rush - Talk About Spiritual Crisis
My aims are:
- To provide support for anyone affected by spiritual crisis/emergency by offering counselling, peer-support, resources, and signposting.
- To raise awareness about spirituality and wellbeing in general and spiritual crisis in particular by providing training and education.
- To increase understanding of spiritual crisis by undertaking and reporting on relevant academic research.
My Bio:
I am one of the Directors of the UK Spiritual Crisis Network, where I assist with email support, co-facilitate the peer-support group in Sheffield Group, and run the SCN Research Group. I am currently undertaking PhD research into effective interventions for spiritual crisis at Christ Church Canterbury University, supported by the Professional Development Foundation and the Alef Trust. I am also a Trustee of the Alister Hardy Trust, which supports the work of the Religious Experience Research Centre at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. I trained as a hypno-psychotherapist and am registered with the CNHC and National Society for Talking Therapies. I also sit on the committee of the BPS Transpersonal Psychology Section.
