Founded in 2016, the Feminist Bird Club aims to be an inclusive birding club that provides a inclusive opportunity to connect with the natural world while fundraising to protect the rights of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ & Disabled folks, and women. The Chicago chapter was founded in 2018.
