Durango Elks Lodge 507
The Durango Elks Lodge and our 700+ members have been helping those in need and improving our local communities in Southwest Colorado since 1899. On a national level, the Elks organization has donated over $450 million dollars toward charitable projects since 1928, has over 100,000 active donors and almost 1 million members nationwide, and spends $80 million per year for charitable programs, with a focus on children, veterans, and those with special needs. On a local level, our Lodge has funded hundreds of local college scholarships, giving our young people the opportunity to better themselves and the community. We help local children by sponsoring programs including Safety Town, Hoop Shoot, and many other youth programs. We provide aid to local veterans in need, and we help local families who face hard times by supplying funds for food, clothing, eyeglasses, school supplies, and other services.
The Elks need your help. We do this charitable work because we care, but we can't do any of this without the generous support of community members like yourselves. Our Lodge is in the planning process for our annual Charity Ball, which helps fund our charitable works throughout the year and allows us to continue giving back to the community in many important ways. We are hoping that generous, civic-minded businesses like yours will donate to our event and silent auction to help raise funds for our charitable work.
