Care Nest is a socially purposed organisation delivering wellbeing activities that help build stronger, healthier, happier lives and relationships for people and communities in Plymouth.
We provide opportunities for local people to directly experience, engage with, and learn from a variety of wellbeing skills and practices that help guide, empower, and better equip these individuals and groups as they explore, acknowledge, and actively respond to their lives and relationships.
KEY DELIVERY
* teaching skills in i.) self-care, ii.) mindfulness, iii.) active listening, iv.) reflective thinking, v.) nonviolent communication, vi.) conflict management, vii.) consensus decision making, viii.) restorative practice
* teaching circle practice as a form of group process in which all participants sit together to share and be heard as equals
* facilitating safe spaces that are trauma-sensitive and welcome diversity

Helen Williams is Care Nest's founding director, primary facilitator, and accredited mindfulness teacher. Helen’s extensive professional experience - from across the fields of creativity, learning, leadership, and wellbeing - is underpinned by the following accreditations: Care Certificate / Autism Awareness / Life Coaching Diploma / Community Champions training / Mental Health First Aid / Mediation Training Certificate / Restorative Justice Facilitator training / The Circle Way Facilitator training / Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Education / Holistic Studies in Human Anatomy / Inclusive Leadership training.
Supporting Helen is a team who help further endow Care Nest's delivery by investing their diverse set of skills and expertise from across the fields of education, theatre, activism, creative arts, and somatics into its work.
Care Nest's team and work are regularly supervised by relevant professionals from the field of psychotherapy and other related practices.
