Hi! I'm Kori, a community farm chef with a passion for cooking seasonal foods in harmony with nature, respecting the innate flavors and goodness of ecologically grown local produce. I adapt time-honored Japanese and Italian approaches to unfussy great food, Blue Zones eating, and the wisdom of Chinese Traditional Medicine to create authentic dishes that nourish and heal you from the inside. My workshops are an engaging experience using cooking and eating together as a doorway to listening to each other talk about things that matter.
I arrived at farm-based cooking as my livelihood after careers in affordable housing development, management consulting, and leadership development program design. I moved to Southeast Michigan from Southern California in August 2021 to be close to my aging mother and my family. Deep burnout forced a hard stop to work in January 2023. Being nourished by regeneratively grown produce was important to my recovery. I never thought I'd be cooking as a career, but here I am inviting you to join me in this healing journey!
I'm available as a private chef, preparing customized meals for individuals and families in their homes and providing intimate, nourishing catering services. My brochure is here.
In 2026, I am offering cooking workshops in partnership with the Ann Arbor Rec & Ed, the community education arm of the school district. Registration links are here. You will find my other events in Eventbrite.
Thank you so much for reading my bio. I can't wait to meet you!
