Reissue a returned payout

Payouts are returned when your event payout information doesn’t match your bank’s records. When this happens, Eventbrite will send you an email notification or display a notification on your Event Dashboard. To reissue your payout, go to your Finance workspace and select an existing payout method or add a new one with the correct information.

In this article

  • 1. Check your email.
  • 2. Click “Update payout information”.
  • 3. Click “Reissue” on your returned payout.
  • 4. Click "Save and reissue".

1. Check your email.

When a payout is returned, Eventbrite will send you an email notification. There will be a notification on your Event Dashboard as well.

2. Click “Update payout information”.

Open the email notification from Eventbrite and click Update payout information to go to your Finance workspace. You may need to log in.

If you’re on your Event Dashboard, click Review your bank information.

3. Click “Reissue” on your returned payout.

Select an available payout method or create a new one by clicking Add payout method

If you used a check payout method (USD only), there are two ways to reissue it:

  • Checks expire 90 days after they’re issued. If your check has expired, select reissue and confirm your payout method.

  • If you lost your check or haven’t received it after 10 business days, confirm your address is correct and contact us for further assistance.

4. Click "Save and reissue".

If successful, the payout will show as "Processing". In the US, banks can take up to 5 business days to apply the payout to your account. Outside of the US, this can take up to 7 business days.

NOTE: When receiving funds via check ($USD only), it can take up to 10 business days for your payout to arrive.
