Sync your contacts and follow friends
After you download the app, Eventbrite will ask for your phone number and text you a code to verify that the phone number provided is yours. After verification, your phone number will be linked to your Eventbrite account, allowing you to find and follow friends who are also using the app. Verifying your phone number also allows friends to find and follow you when they sync their contacts.
To sync your contacts and find your friends:
Go to Account.
Select Friends.
Select Find your crew.
Select Sync contacts and allow Eventbrite to access your contacts. Your contacts will only receive an Eventbrite notification if you request to follow them.
Select Follow next to specific users, or select Follow all to send a follow request to all of your phone contacts who are using the app.
Your follow request will show as Request sent until the user accepts it. To cancel a follow request, select Request sent and choose Cancel request.
If Eventbrite doesn’t find any contacts who are using the app, you can invite them by selecting Invite friends. From there, you can send them a link to download the Eventbrite app from the Apple store or Google Play.
