What to do when tickets aren't on sale

If you notice your tickets aren’t on sale, it might be due to certain event or ticket settings. To resolve this issue, check your ticket settings, holds, and total event capacity.

If tickets are displayed as “Sold out”

Check if you have any holds

When you place a hold on tickets, they’re removed from your available inventory. If all your remaining available tickets sell out, any held tickets will cause your event to show as “Sold out.” You can either remove the hold or manually add the attendees that the tickets were held for.

Increase your event capacity

If your event’s capacity is the same as or lower than the number of tickets available, tickets will show as “Sold out” once that capacity is reached, even if some tickets remain. To make tickets available again, increase your event’s total capacity.

Increase your ticket quantity

Each ticket type has its own available quantity, which determines how many of that ticket type can be sold. If your event hasn't reached its total capacity but you've run out of available tickets, your event will show as "Sold out.".

To increase the quantity of a ticket type, go to Add tickets and select the desired ticket type. Then, update the Available quantity and select Save.

Even if you increase the available quantity of a ticket type, your event won't sell more tickets than its total capacity.

Adjust the limit of tickets allowed per order

If you increase the minimum number of tickets per order, the ticket will appear as "Sold out" once there aren't enough tickets to complete an order. For example, if a ticket type has a minimum of four tickets per order but there are only two tickets left, the ticket will appear as "Sold out."

If you'd like to adjust this, either increase the quantity of tickets available or lower the minimum required.

  1. Go to Events .

  2. Select your event.

  3. Select Add tickets.

  4. Select your ticket type to edit it.

  5. Select Advanced settings.

  6. Update the minimum number of tickets allowed per order.

Verify your event status

If you manually changed your event status, then your event will appear as "Sold out" even if you have more tickets available to sell. To put your tickets back on sale:

  1. Go to Add tickets.

  2. Select a ticket to edit its settings.

  3. Update the Sales end date to a date in the future. Do this for all the ticket types you want to be on sale.

  4. Select Save. This will automatically put your event back on sale.

If some tickets are missing or your event says tickets are "Unavailable"

Some ticket settings can prevent a ticket from appearing on your event listing. If these settings are applied to all tickets, your event will show as "Unavailable."

Check your ticket visibility.

  1. Go to Events .

  2. Select your event.

  3. Select Add tickets.

  4. Check for hidden ticket types. Tickets that are hidden will display "Hidden" next to the ticket's sales status.

If you only want tickets to be visible using a code, set up an access code and assign it to your hidden ticket.

Verify your ticket sales channel

If your ticket sales channel is set to At the door only, tickets will only be available when you're selling them at the event using the Organizer app. To check and update your sales channel:

  1. Go to Events .

  2. Select your event.

  3. Select Add tickets.

  4. Select your ticket type to edit it.

  5. Select Advanced settings.

  6. Update the Sales channel to Online only or Everywhere. Tickets with the Online only sales channel aren't available to sell using the Organizer app.

  7. Save your changes.

Check if you have pending sales

If your event is close to being sold out, tickets might display as "Unavailable" while there are orders pending. To check if you have pending orders:

  1. Go to Events .

  2. Select your event.

  3. Find Tickets sold (at the top of your event dashboard)

If there are pending tickets, they'll be displayed on your dashboard. If the attendee doesn't complete the order, the tickets will be returned to your available inventory after the registration time limit expires.

If tickets display a “Sales ended” message

If your event shows a "sales ended" message, you can put tickets back on sale by updating the "sales end" date in your ticket settings.

  1. Go to Events .

  2. Select your event.

  3. Select Add tickets.

  4. Select your ticket type to edit it.

  5. Update the "Sales start" and "Sales end" dates to when you want tickets to be available.

  6. Save your changes.
