Manage dates and time slots in Eventbrite's new recurring event experience

Edit or delete a single date or time slot in your recurring event schedule by going to Manage dates and times in your event. Select the date and time slot you want to change. Then choose to edit the time or delete that date. If you change the date or time of an individual time slot, be sure to email any registered attendees to communicate the change.

NOTE: This feature is only available for organizers in the United States and Canada. If you're not in the United States or Canada, follow these steps instead to update a recurring event.

Edit or delete time slots

1. Go to Events.

Sign in to your Eventbrite account and go to Events .

2. Go to your Recurring event overview.

Select your event to go to your Recurring event overview.

3. Select "Manage dates and times.”

4. Select a date.

5. Select "Edit times."

You can:

  • Change the start and end time for a time slot.

  • Select the trash can icon to delete that time slot.

If you’ve sold tickets for this time slot, you’ll need to refund them or change them to another date first. Be sure to email your attendees to communicate any changes you make to your event schedule.

6. Optional: Apply your changes to multiple dates.

Select Apply changes to multiple dates, then select Next.

You have two options for applying these changes:

  • All future dates with the same time slots: These changes will apply to all future dates.

  • Custom range: You select a date range and day of the week to apply these changes to.

In either case, only time slots that begin at the same time are changed. Time slots that start at different times aren't affected, no matter what date they're on.

7. Select “Save.”

Postpone and reschedule a date

To postpone a date:

  1. From your recurring event overview, select a time slot to go to its event dashboard.

  2. Change the status to "Postponed." This turns off ticket sales.

  3. Repeat steps 1-2 for each time slot on your date.

To reschedule a date:

  1. From Manage dates and times, add the new date(s).

  2. Either transfer the attendees to the new dates or manually create orders for them on the new dates. This ensures they have valid tickets for the new date.

  3. Email your attendees to let them know of the changes.

Issue refunds for attendees who can't attend the new date. Eventbrite's Postponed Event Policy requires you to set and communicate the new event date within 90 days of the postponement. If you haven’t set a new date within 90 days, cancel the event instead.

Navigate your recurring event

Each recurring event includes a recurring event overview and dashboards for each time slot. The overview shows general information about your event while the dashboards show information specific to their time slot.

Recurring event overview

The default view is the recurring event overview. This overview includes details about your event in general. It also allows you to make changes to your event. Start here if you want to update important event details like your overall event’s location and description.

To get to your recurring event overview:

  1. Sign in to your Eventbrite account.

  2. Go to Events .
