Wenmi Severino
Wenmi Severino is a passionate academic and community leader dedicated to education, service, and empowerment. As a graduate student at Kean University, specializing in Human Behavior and Organizational Psychology, and holding a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Africana Studies, Wenmi brings an interdisciplinary and historically grounded approach to all her work.
In her role as an academic specialist at the Center for Africana Studies, Wenmi hosts events that center on historical education, community dialogue, and the legacy of the African Diaspora. Her programs aim to deepen understanding of history’s role in shaping modern society, encouraging critical thought and meaningful engagement. From academic lectures and historical panels to community workshops, her events create spaces where history informs action and inspiration.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Wenmi serves her community through multiple leadership roles within the First Pentecostal Church of God Mission One Inc., reflecting her unwavering commitment to service, integrity, and faith.
