EmpoweringTravelersto heal, connect, andRise Aboveadversity through peer support, educational workshops, and community-building activities.Members ofRise Aboveare referred to asTravelers, as we are all on the journey toward healing, understanding, and acceptance together. Led by aTravel Guide, a self-identifying LGBTQ+ Mental Health Peer Specialist with shared lived experiences, we promote healing by providing a supportive environment for individuals to process their trauma, rebuild their self-esteem, and develop a positive sense of identity.People choose to travel withRise Abovefor various reasons, including finding solace, healing and growth, finding support, theological discourse, and connecting with others who have shared experiences.By offering emotional, spiritual, and mental support, we create an inclusive community where everyone feels seen, supported, accepted, valued and empowered toRise Above.
