This is a play-a-ling jam session, held in conjunction with the Helsinki group, with the live stream piped in to the pub so the Tampere jam members can join in.
Come and join us for a play-a-long jam. We will be based in the cellar room at Iguana Mannerheimintie which is suitable for acoustic instruments (perhaps small battery powered amps at a push). We keep it simple ... we put the words and chords on the TV screen and we start playing.
We may have a limited number of spare ukuleles and guitars, but it is best to bring your own. If you don't play anything, you are welcome to come and just hangout, sing if you want to. If you like, pick up a ukulele, and someone will help you play a few simple chords and play along.
If you have your own instrument, it is best to bring it. Also if you have a tablet, you can access the songbook at ukejam.online and then you don't have to stare at the TV screen all night.
Everyone is welcome ... we also have a community WhatsApp group that you can join when you come to the event.
The pub give us the room for free ... so buy a drinks when you arrive and when we have breaks. The event is "sober friendly" and is lead by a non-drinker. We aim to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone. Beginners and experienced musicians are equally welcome.
