About this event
The building and construction sector consumes around 10 million tonnes of plastics in Europe each year, which accounts for 20% of all plastics consumption. This means that there is a huge potential for circular economy.
We wanted to find out what concrete ways there are to both reduce the use of plastics and increase reuse and circularity of plastics. Together with Premico, Lujatalo, Ara, Municipality Finland and the Ministry of Environment we deep dived into one residential construction project called Metsäkissa and collected concrete ways to act. We want to share these learnings across the Nordics to encourage everyone to take action, as circular economy is an ecosystem game.
Besides our own learnings, we also want showcase a startup taking giant leaps in making the construction industry more circular and invited RETEX Panels to share how they are closing the loop for plastics in construction industry. RETEX is the first company to utilize reprocessed textile, plastic and rubber waste in making construction materials on a large scale.
And of course we want to hear what you have to say about this. Join us in a LOOP webinar to share insights and concrete ways to act with other the players in the construction ecosystem.
