Last Night of the Deer on Janis Balodiksen (LV) ja Nahuel Canon (NL/AR) esitys, joka kertoo tarinan automatkasta ja peurakolarista lumimyrskyssä.
Teoksen lähtökohtana on ollut koulutusjärjestelmän, valistuksen perinteen ja ihmiskeskeisyyden välinen yhteys. Taiteilijat uskovat, että koulutusjärjestelmään on pesiytynyt syvään juurtuneita ja todennäköisesti huomaamattomia ajatuksia, jotka estävät meitä kehittämään ilmastokriisin kohtaamisessa tarvittavia uusia ajattelutapoja.
Last Night of the Deer nähdään Haminalahden kylätalolla, ja bussikuljetus tapahtumapaikalle lähtee tilausbussien pysäkiltä Kuopion kaupungintalon takaa (Maljalahdenkatu). Esitys tulkataan suomalaiselle viittomakielelle.

Last Night of the Deer is a performance by Janis Balodis (LV) and Nahuel Cano (NL/AR), which tells the story of a roadtrip and a deer crash in a snow storm.
The starting point of the work has been the connection between the education system, legacy of enlightenment and anthropocentrism. The artists assume there are deeply rooted, most probably unnoticeable ideas that inhabit the education system and prevent us from having a mindset that is needed in the face of the climate crisis.
Last Night of the Deer will locate in Haminalahti village, and the bus to the venue leaves behind Kuopio City Hall (street: Maljalahdenkatu). The performance is being interpreted into Finnish sign language.
