About this event

This year’s Annual Conference will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, on 17-19 September 2025.

In the morning of 17 September, we will have a Members ‘dialogue session where we will introduce EFI Strategy 2040 and discuss EU priority topics for next Framework Programme for Research and EFI Research Agenda. Later representatives of the EFI member organisations take the formal Annual Conference decisions in the ordinary plenary session. During the day, EFI member organisations are invited the present their work in pitch talks.

On 18 September a scientific seminar titled 'Forests under pressure: addressing disruptions, boosting resilience, and guiding policy' will take place. The primary objective of this seminar is to discuss the increasing risks of forest disturbances and their implications for sustainability, management, and policy. Young scientists will have the opportunity to present their research through pitch talks and poster sessions during the day. The field trips on 19 September take you either to Litvinov, Czech State Forests, or to Stromovka Park, City of Prague Forests.
