In the workshop, you will learn to explore dressing in a creative and playful way through various material experiments and your own design task. The workshop is in English.

The workshop is inspired by the work of fashion designer Venla Elonsalo. Elonsalo has designed a women's clothing collection in which she combines the patterns of a garment and a plush toy. The workshop will get you started by exploring the features of Elonsalo's design, after which your own design will begin. What kind of character is your outfit based on, what shapes does it have and who would wear the outfit?

The remote workshop will take place for pre-registered users on the Zoom platform. The workshop is free for participants and suitable for the whole family. During the workshop, it is possible to reflect on your own style, think about your own feelings related to clothing and compose your own creations over a paper doll character. The workshop is guided by Mari Kosunen, workshop instructor and handicraft teacher at the Design Museum.
