Community Speaker: Tuukka Ylälahti

Incorporating a company and becoming a founder/co-founder is not the first step on a journey to become an entrepreneur. It all starts way before —with a business idea. However, an idea is just an idea. What separates an entrepreneur from the others is the sustained effort to turn ideas into reality, visions into ventures, and the capability to gather the needed resources to execute.

From Xes Helsinki’s Advisory Board, Tuukka Ylälahti has co-founded two tech startups, which have grown from an idea into international businesses. In this workshop Tuukka will share the journeys he has had with incorporating companies, raising the needed funding, and building a product, which customers are willing to pay for. He will also give insights with you on what happened with dozens of ideas he has explored —but not incorporated into venture— and why rightly timed abandonment has driven the success of the ventures he took forward. Join us for an evening of lessons learned on how to become a successful entrepreneur & venture builder.

Additionally, we will be sharing information about our ongoing Pitching Programme held by Tuukka, where selected teams will get a chance to pitch at an unique platform for all early stage entrepreneurs - Ship* Startup Festival.
