We are excited to announce a new series of breakfast meetups to continue discussions on design systems!
By the plan, Bridge the Gap is a monthly Zoom meeting where designers and developers can learn from each other, share and validate their ideas. Every meeting is focused on a specific topic aligned with the community. However, the meeting schedule also leaves time for general discussion and spin-offs. You can join to watch and listen, and also to present and share.
At the first breakfast on the 28th of January, we will be discussing design tokens and how to match them with the development.
---
Design tokens and component-driven development
Design tokens help us to store the indivisible pieces of an interface, such as colors, spaces, font sizes. Building the applications on top of well-defined tokens ensures user interface consistency and a smooth user experience. But for large design systems and applications, it is often complicated to keep the design tokens structure simple while using these tokens in the context of many different components.
