Teos tutkii tanssia työnä ja kehon rajoja toiston ja keston uuvuttavuuden kautta. Yhden tunnin mittainen soolo on luotu liikesarjoista, jotka laaja mustien tanssijoiden ja taiteilijoiden verkosto on lahjoittanut Zinzille.
Zinzi Minott on ehdolla kansainvälisen esitystaiteen palkinnon saajaksi ja esitys nähdään osana Shortlist LIVE! -ohjelmistoa. ANTI Festival International Prize for Live Art jaetaan ANTI-festivaalilla Kuopiossa lauantaina 17.9.2022.

Black on Black is a solo dance performance by Zinzi Minott that explores Queerness, Blackness and the body as an archive.
The exact time of the performance will be published soon. The performance will be on Fri 16th Sep.
The work interrogates dance as a form of labour and the limits of the body through the exhausting processes of repetition and duration. The 1h solo performance has been created from movement phrases donated to Zinzi by an extended network of Black dancers and artists.
Zinzi Minott is shortlisted for ANTI Festival International Prize for Live Art. The Prize will be awarded on Sat 17th September in Kuopio, Finland.

The ANTI Festival International Prize for Live Art, is presented annually at ANTI - Contemporary Art Festival, Kuopio, Finland. The prize is generously supported by the Saastamoinen Foundation. Shortlist LIVE! is supported by the Kone Foundation. The programme brings a live work from each shortlisted artist to ANTI Festival, where an international jury selects its winner.
