Aviation Hackathon

RTU Zinātnes un inovāciju centrs

Students of all levels are invited to take part in the Aviation Hackathon to work on solutions to innovative aviation industry` challenges.

The Hackathon, organised by the Latvian National Airline airBaltic in cooperation with the Riga Technical University (RTU) Institute of Aeronautics and RTU Science and Innovation Centre, will address five themes:<ul><li>Passenger communication and engagement from airBaltic during pre-flight period</li><li>Riga Airport and airBaltic cooperation - innovative passenger experience on the day of departure from Riga airport</li><li>The new way of being on board </li><li>Innovative ways of supporting airline sustainability</li><li>Passenger cabin entertainment system and future system design</li></ul>The Aviation Hackathon is organised as a team-based event and teams as well as individuals are encouraged to apply. All individual hackathon participants will be required to form a team with other individual participants or join a pre-existing team. The maximum number of team members is 5. Registrations should be submitted no later than 2023 May 11, 12:00 PM (EET).Expected participants: 50 – 80 students with aviation or technical background (education) from Baltics.When: May 20th, 2023Where: RTU Design Factory, 6A Ķīpsalas iela, Riga
