2nd annual conference "The Nordics and Latin America: Sustainable Mining"

Latnord, the Swedish School of Mines, and CAMM at Luleå University of Technology are organizing the 2nd annual conference "The Nordics and Latin America: Sustainable Mining".

The conference will be held at Luleå University of Technology, Auditorium B-192 (B-Huset), on October 15-16, and site visits will be on October 14, 17, and 18, 2025.

The conference is about Sustainable Mining and brings together mining operators, academia, suppliers, and authorities from both the Nordics and Latin America to provide insights about the developments and future challenges of decarbonization for the mining industry in both regions, focusing on reducing the emissions of scopes 1, 2, and 3.
Mining companies and institutions of the following countries will be invited to participate: Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Chile, Brazil, Perú, México, Argentina, Ecuador, and others.
