Organizer of Archbishops' Young Leaders Awards Info Webinars
The National Society for Education hosts various events throughout the year and across the country to promote 'Educating for life it all its fullness'. Our events take place within the context of our various workstreams:Our Foundation for Educational Leadership provides Programmes, Networks, Research and Events to: ‘Develop inspirational leaders who are Called, Connected and Committed to deliver the Church of England Vision for Education.’The Growing Faith Foundation is the movement that exists to put children, young people and families instinctively at the heart of all the mission and ministry of the Church by changing the culture of the Church of England. The Growing Faith Foundation seeks to benefit children and young people, helping them create the world they want to live in, specifically through the lens of the Christian faith. The Archbishops’ Young Leaders Award (AYLA) is a fully resourced leadership and character education programme designed to be delivered by teaching staff within the classroom. Available at KS1 through to Post 16. The AYLA has strong links to SMSC, British Values, PSHE, Character Education, Citizenship, RE and SIAMS.Our Curriculum and inclusion team provides support to dioceses, MATs and schools across a broad range of topics. We have a specific remit to set expectations for Church of England schools around religious education. We also engage with government policy on RHSE, and provide resources and training on embedding EDIJ principles (especially racial justice), courageous advocacy and character education throughout the curriculum. We lead the Church of England's work in developing and shaping education policy for early years, schools, colleges and universities. Part of the role of National Society is to resource equip and advise Diocesan Boards of Education as the religious authority for church schools.Contact us for more information on our upcoming events.
